STAYED FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT

It is not enough to be baptized in the Holy Spirit one time.  We must keep being filled.  Ephesians 5:18 says, “But ever be filled and stimulated with the Holy Spirit.”  (Amplified)  The Greek word for filled means literally “keep being filled constantly and continually.”

Every day and all throughout the day we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit.  As His Bride Warrior, we wage spiritual warfare constantly, and hence, we must be filled with the Spirit in order to be on guard and wield our weapons appropriately.

PRAYER:

Father, I surrender my entire life to You.  Continually fill me with your Spirit to overflowing.   Empower me by Your Spirit to wage warfare against the enemy and to defeat the powers of darkness in not only my life but the lives of others.  I am filled by Your Spirit, I am controlled by Your Spirit, and I am led by Your Spirit.  Everything I need is found in the Trinity – God, the Father, God, the Son, and God, the Holy Spirit!  Amen.

THE POWER OF THE PRAYER OF AGREEMENT

Prayer partners are so important.  “Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.”  (Matthew 18:19)  When you pray with someone it is so important that you are believing for the same results; otherwise, your prayers will be ineffective.  When you engage in the prayer of agreement, find someone who really and truly agrees with you as you pray the Word and the will of the Father.

Look at the strength in numbers of the prayer of agreement, “How should one chase one thousand and two put ten thousand to flight, unless their rock had sold them, and the Lord had given them up?”  (Deuteronomy 32:30).  WOW!   Alone you can chase off a thousand, but when one more joins you in prayer, you put TEN THOUSAND to flight!

Choose your prayer partner wisely, and watch God bring the increase!

REMIND THE DEVIL OF PAST VICTORIES!

Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him.  For you are but a youth, and he has been a man of war from his youth.”  (I Samuel 17)  As children of God, we know His voice.  God would never say, “You are not able” to do anything.  That is contrary to His Word that says, “You can do ALL THINGS through Christ who gives you strength.”  (Philippians 4:13)  Therefore, we must do as David did, and  remind the devil of the past victories that God has won for us!   This also strengthens our faith in God.  When we remember God’s faithfulness to us in the past, it strengthens our faith in Him for our present and future!

When we fight spiritual warfare God’s way, the victory is sure!  We are always victorious, and we will always win!  So next time the enemy comes and says, “You are not able,” remind Him of the past victories God has won for you!   God will do it again!

NO FEAR!

“Faith is not the absence of fear, it is moving forward in spite of fear. When Jesus tells us not to fear, He doesn’t mean that we won’t have fearful feelings, He means that He wants us to be brave and to go in the direction of our calling, even if we are afraid. In essence, faith is doing it afraid.”

FOUR GIANTS OF FEAR are Delay, Discouragement, Disapproval, and Doubt. Bride Warriors, “When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, DO NOT BE AFRAID of them; for the Lord your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.” (Deuteronomy 20:1) God then gave Moses the “battle plan” to defeat the enemy.

This is the CONFIDENCE that we have when going into spiritual battle! The Lord of Hosts is with us, and His battle plan will bring success! HALLELUJAH! SHOUT THE VICTORY!

THE HELMET OF SALVATION

BATTLEFIELD OF THE MIND . . .

The battlefield is truly in the mind; therefore, as warriors in the Lord’s army, we cannot enter into the battlefield until we put on our “helmet of salvation.” The helmet in the natural realm is used to cover and protect our heads from impact. When we renew our mind by meditating on the Word of God, we are putting on our spiritual helmet to protect us from the enemy’s attack. This helmet of salvation will guard our minds from the wicked one’s assaults and will give us CONFIDENCE of God’s power working in us.

Put on the helmet of salvation. In Greek, the word salvation means, welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, salvation, or safety. So put on your helmet of salvation and FIGHT!

BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

The breastplate of righteousness is such an important part of the armor to put on every day as it PROTECTS THE HEART! In Greek, the word righteousness is dikaiosyne, which means, state of him who is as he ought to be, the condition acceptable to God.

Ward off guilt, condemnation, and shame that try to creep in to your mind. You will not fight when you feel condemned. It is time to RISE UP and take off your righteousness, which is as “filthy rags,” and put on His righteousness! This breastplate will guard and protect your heart from all hurt and allow you to fight spiritual warfare!

OFF WITH CONDEMNATION and ON WITH HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS!

EXPOSING JEZEBEL

The controlling spirit of Jezebel hates prayer! “Intercessory prayer pries her fingers off the hearts and souls of men and women. It sets people free in the spirit. When you pray, it binds her. When you pray against immorality, it cripples her. When you pray for a submissive heart, it is like the trampling of Jehu’s horse upon her body.” ~ “The Jezebel Spirit”

PRAYER – “Father, we submit to You and your standard of righteousness. We ask for purity, meekness, and holiness of heart. Forgive us for our tolerance of the spirit of Jezebel in both our minds and our deeds. In the mighty name of Jesus!”

FIGHT MIND WARFARE!

The words “casting down” in the following verse from the Greek has a violent meaning. “Kathaireo” means to take down for oneself; forcibly yank down; destroy (demolish), leaving nothing standing or even in good working order!

Remember, the battle is in your mind, but the war is for your heart! We must think about what we think about!

There are three keys to fight mind warfare . . .

1) RECOGNIZE the thought as a vain imagination against God’s Word
2) REJECT the thought by “casting it down” (above)
3) REPLACE the thought with the Word of God

“Inasmuch as we refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the true knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).”           II Corinthians 10:5 (Amplified Classic translation)

PLEAD THE BLOOD!

As a lawyer pleads his case before a judge, so we should plead the blood over our lives, our family’s lives, the lost, and anything else that concerns us. When the accuser of the brethren attacks us, the blood of Jesus is our defense and authorizes us to push back the darkness trying to invade our lives! Through the blood, the enemy has no right to wreak havoc in our lives. THERE IS POWER IN THE BLOOD!

PRAISE IS A WEAPON OF WARFARE

In II Chronicles 20, we find the enemies of God coming against Judah.  In Hebrew, the name Judah means praise.  Of course, Lucifer (Satan), the enemy of God and His people is going to attack our praise since He knows first hand the power of praise!  He was created as the first “worship leader,” called Day Star (light bearer).  God’s greatest creation led the angelic creatures to worship in his presence.  Lucifer was created, according to the scriptures, with timbrels and pipes (Ezek 28:13-15). Ezekiel 28:13-16 “ The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created.”

When the leader of the tribe of Judah, Jehoshaphat, inquired of the Lord for the plan of attack on the enemy, the Lord told him to place singers and praisers in holy attire before those equipped for battle.  (II Chron. 20:20-21).  When they began to sing, the Lord set ambushes against the enemy, and they were defeated!

Your praise is a weapon of warfare!
